Coming soon to a camp near you: The Great Exchange - powerful hope for the burdened emerges! Our theme for this Summer Camp Program comes from 2 Corinthians 4:16-6:10, which explains how, though we suffer under the burden of this earthly home, we hope in an eternal home made available to us through Christ’s ministry of reconciliation.
Students need to know where to find hope in a dark and chaotic world. They must wrestle with the doctrine of salvation, first understanding their own depravity and desperation for Jesus Christ. The Great Exchange is that Jesus became sin FOR US so we can become his righteousness and then return to the world as ambassadors for Christ. Our passage ends like a battle charge, so naturally, we thought of superheroes! The hope for Summer Camp 2020 is that campers will accept the power of righteousness given freely and take up the good fight.
The program team is hard at work preparing for what camp will look like despite the uncertainty of the current times. So whether we have 5, 50, or 500 people, Summer Camp 2020 will be unlike any ever before! Campers will have the opportunity to create their own superhero and gear up in masks and capes for an epic showdown! Which superhero will win? Who will use their strength, strategy, gadgets, and gizmos to bring their team to victory?

“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.
We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin,
so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
