Eyes to See, Ears to Hear - Year End Appeal

At Thousand Pines, worship is at the heart of everything we do. In our two main chapels, Whittier and Jensen, thousands of campers gather each year to encounter God and make life-changing decisions. During our 2025 Program Summer Camp alone, 62 campers gave their lives to Christ for the first time and nearly 500 rededicated their faith in these very chapels.
After years of service, the equipment that helps make these moments possible has seen a lot of use. Our audio-visual systems have served faithfully for a long time, but lately, they’ve started to show their age. The tools that once supported powerful moments of worship are now beginning to distract from the message rather than support it. While our staff works hard to keep things running, we know it’s time to upgrade some of this important equipment.
It’s not about the tech—it’s about the message. For many who come, this is where they hear the Gospel for the first time. We want every camper to hear the messages clearly and experience worship without distraction. Replacing parts of our system will make a huge difference in how people experience God’s presence here throughout the year.
For this year’s Year-End Appeal, we are hoping to raise $10,000 in order to replace the broken speakers in Jensen Chapel. These new speakers at $10,000 would help us continue our impact and ministry in this meeting space. If the Lord wills, we would love to raise closer to $50,000 in order to not only replace the old speakers, but to actually upgrade to speakers that would best serve this chapel with greater quality and better longevity for years to come.
Every gift will help us get closer to these goals, and we are grateful for each one! Our hope is to complete fundraising by December 31, 2025, so we can start installation soon and kick off the ministry of 2026 with this needed upgrade.
