What a season it has been at Thousand Pines! The final numbers are still rolling in, but we are overjoyed to report about 60 first-time decisions for Christ and 450 rededications this summer. The Holy Spirit moved just as powerfully through our own team, and we celebrated the baptisms of six staff members. One youth leader wrote on their end-of-week evaluation that a student he had prayed over for seven years, a boy who had resisted God and church at every turn, stood up this summer to answer a call into ministry. Seven years of prayer, answered in these mountains. Moments like these remind us exactly why this camp exists: to help people see, know, and experience God.
God's provision has matched His movement. A generous grant will fund a brand-new wheelchair-accessible trail with educational stops along the way, so that everyone can encounter God in His creation. Other gifts are bringing new AV equipment to our chapels, fresh carpet, new Scripture signage around camp, and even a new 9 Square in the Air game. After a long journey, our rebuilt cabins are nearing the finish line, and we are hopeful they will welcome campers very soon.
Now comes the fun part: fall is nearly here, and we would love to see you on the mountain! Fall Family Camp kicks off Labor Day weekend, September 4 through 7, the perfect way to launch the school year. Picture your kids learning about God's creation on daily hikes, afternoons of archery, BB guns, and the ropes course, then evenings worshiping around the campfire. Then on September 25 through 27, Man Camp returns with off-roading, ziplining, powerful chapels, and brotherhood.
