Project Hope
Project Hope exists to empower and educate students to reach the world for Jesus Christ in tangible ways. This program is designed for those teens and young adults who have already had the traditional camp experience and are looking to go deeper in their faith through service and outreach.
Project Hope serves in three different mission fields: Local, Los Angeles, and Tanzania. All participants will take part in a weeklong training session at Thousand Pines Camp. The goal of our training is to create an atmosphere where service is seen as a lifestyle and not an event or one-time act. Individuals will be given the opportunity to practice spiritual disciplines such as journaling, memorization of scripture, solitude, and worship. We will also be taking this time to prepare for the ministry that will follow in one of our three locations. Then we will apply what we have learned during training at their mission location by participating in door-to-door evangelism, working in homeless shelters, food banks, aiding in the development of a youth camp, and/or medical clinics.
Project Hope strives to create an experience where individuals, by looking beyond themselves, actually find themselves, gaining a new and greater purpose in life. Our prayer for each person who makes their way through this program is that they will be awakened to a renewed excitement and understanding of Christ. Our desire is to create leaders who will go out and change the world; they will leave having found a new strength in Christ.
