Helping Hands Holiday
Helping Hands Holiday is your chance to invest in the present and future ministry of Thousand Pines. With many tasks to fulfill, especially in preparation for the summer season, the Thousand Pines staff simply cannot finish them all. So, for over forty years friends of the ministry have partnered with us to whip camp into shape.
Work projects will range from simple tasks like planting flowers to advanced jobs like general construction or operating heavy equipment. Relax in the evenings with family chapel time featuring a guest speaker and worship leader. Childcare and programmed activities will be provided for children ages 0-6 during work hours and evening chapels. So grab your family and pack up those work gloves, it’s time for a fun-filled weekend of hard work and spiritual renewal.
What will we be doing?
- Raking and clearing — preparation for the June 1 fire inspection
- Firewood — cutting, splitting, stacking
- Painting — exterior and interior
- Planting — preparing flower beds and planting flowers
- Cleaning and small repairs — windows, furniture repairs, etc.
- Paintball course clean-up — trimming back the spring growth
- Childcare — assist Thousand Pines staff with day-time childcare
If you have a specialty or preference that is not listed, contact Thousand Pines. We'll see if we can match your gift to our needs. We welcome electricians, plumbers, roofers, and general contractors help out on our bigger projects.
